Built in 1883
This house in Aristid Briana str. 9 is an architectural monument of a local importance. This private property was built in 1883. I have captured only a part of this old building.

Same old place
On the left by Saules Akmens building, another modern project is under construction. Gaismas pils (Castle of light) - national library. As far as I know, they decided to let the sun set in the same old place.

Condition
Imagine, your car under a snow pile and under condition, you forgot, where you parked it. Btw back there at the end of Maza kalna str. you can see an orthodox cathedral in Ivan's cemetery.

Pulling trolley

I think this (trolley) technology has a potential to develop into something even more useful and convenient. The key areas of improvements would be linked to designing more convenience when shopping (putting stuff in opening the bag or container...) and easiness of vertical movement (when you live higher than first floor in house without a lift).

Evolution and censorship

Charles Darwin used the word only once, in the closing paragraph of "The Origin of Species" (1859), and instead preferred "descent with modification". A sense of "progress" is not found in Darwin's idea.
Latviešu valodā vārda evolūcija sentēvs ir vārds velt, velties. Citiem vārdiem sakot, dzīvība veļas uz priekšu (in Latvian language the word "velt" means "to roll". The Life is rolling or revolving).
