Economic crisis in pictures 1 (series)
More and more old cars are seen in Riga. Of course old LADA's or Ziguli (Žiguļi) as well. This must be either no 1 or 11 from end 70ies or begining of 80ies.
P.S. This particular car belongs to a restaurateur of cars and buildings.
nū, šitas ir bullshit - tas nav nekādi saistīts ar krīzi. tie žiguļi tur bija jau trekno gadu laikā - tur viss ir ieturēts tādā retro stilā. nevajag te tautu maldināt... :)
this car is no indicator for crisis, i am quite sure it belongs to a collector, probably the one on kalnciema iela who has much more of these beautiful oldtimers, see here: http://www.tribine.lv/foto/Zigulisi-Kalnciema-iela/6324 only if this green car stood there alone it could be an indication for the crisis...

Nu vispār jau tā ir - tagad salīdzinoši vairāk veco krievu mašīnu ielās. Kādu laiku iepriekš viņas bij tikpat kā pazudušas.

ReplyDeleteyou are right - this is a car from collection. However this is to illustrate the tendency.
Those old cars are sometimes more expensive to maintain than rather new cars.
