Crow in a dry pond
Have anyone got closer to a bird? I have, this is a macro that I captured in Old Riga. I am not sure if the bird is she or he, Russell or Sheryl, but what I know for sure is that it knows how to get high, but is not able to.

It looks injured to me. Not sure what it is but there is a dent behind the bill area.
Great, wonderful photographs - congratulations Karli! I have been popping in periodically to view Riga through your camera lens and also take a quick trip home to Melbourne. Thank you! Anta

Interesting. I have never seen a crow with white feathers.

Nice shot of this bird.
Nice shot. Is it normal for crows to have white feathers?
good thing he didnt fly away. looks like he/she is cold. u should have give him/her a jacket hehe.. anyway it is cute.
the bird looks unwell to me...I once did get equally close to a bird, and, in fact, it also seemed to be in an equally miserable condition......
...I don't think it is a crow, looks more like a magpie to me....
