Ground level

From one bank of the river Daugava to the other. Now we are in the old town's heart near the Dome square with a Dome church behind the scene. It is surrounded by really beautiful Art Nouveau buildings like this one on Tirgonu street (Merchants str. in English). On the ground level you can see few restaurants that are worth visiting.

What a delightful photograph - makes me want to be sitting there sipping a latte. Even though the weather is still sunny and warm in California, coffee in Riga would be very nice. I was away and unable to post a comment about your flower photo, so belatedly, it was fabulous and so colourful in the rain!!

Nice building - and relaxing place for coffee (except when beer-garden beside have live music :)
I see it is not so cold - many sit outside without jacket.
Maybe more photos where you also see local people and tourists ?

Hi Karlis,
This looks to be a beautiful Art Nouveau building and cafe...Your comment on my blog, it was raining off and on, but since its usually sunny alot of the time in Miami, I don't mind the rain, its a different atmosphere and has a different energy to it.
