Dream factory

In this photo you can see "Sapnu Fabrika" - a place where different streams of art and culture meet the public. The modern culture centre is ready to stage almost any kind of performance.

That’s a fantastic shot. Did it used to be a factory or power station or something like that?

A very impressive building.

As far as I know, it was glass factory before.
Thanks!

Hi, Karlis-

I am an architecture student, from New York. For the past 11 months I have been traveling across Europe, documenting/researching postindustrial buildings that are being creatively adapted- usually as artist studios, cultural centers, etc. I am now working in Tallinn, and thinking about coming to check out the scene in Riga as well.. I came across you blog online, and am very curious about this building- it looks like exactly what I'm in to. Do you know how it's being used now?
My website is: www.cottoneuropepost.blogspot.com, if you're curious..
And, yes, beautiful shot! Would love to know more about it. Are you involved there? Thanks!
