Once you have breathe the air, seen the sight, touch the people, heard the lapping sound of the river daugava and taste the fruits of riga... you will forever enchanted....
If Riga would be a lady... If Riga would be a queen... If Riga would be a symbol of 'Marianne of modern-days'.....
To: elsa There are few cities in Europe that could be called Little Paris to my mind and one of them is Riga. But Riga had already such nickname in "good old times". What concerns this picture, it just reminded me of wide streets of Paris, thanks to that reflection which makes this street look so wide. Thanks for visit!

That’s kind of funny, because whenever I see photos of Paris, I think of Riga! :)
[Note: I enjoyed my time in the Baltic more than I did Paris on a visit a few years back.)

Hello!
Where is the relation to Paris? Or is it just a funny title?
(No offense meant, just curious)

I am sure there are many songs about Rīga, my favourite one is sung by Maria Naumova in French. It's a romantic song about the charms of old Rīga.
Aigar un Karli, man ļoti patīk jusu bildes. Liels paldies!
This photo is brilliant! It took me a while to figure out the "Paris boulevard" effect is created by the reflection. Very clever!
