Arch

This garden has been changed and renamed many times, but everyone in Riga recons it as Viesturdarzs (Viesturs' garden). Anyway the place is really calm, with lots of different trees and built objects, such as Alexander gates, pool and memorial of Latvian Song festival.

Many of the parks in England have similar arches - built mainly a 100 years ago when they were all the fashion and it was a statement of a town's wealth.

Well-composed photo, Aigars. I like arches very much and beyond looks to be a splendid place to spend some time in peaceful meditation - a place to "get away from it all."

Next time I'm in Riga I'll have to get to this park and spend some time there. Kinda wish I would have known about it last time I was in Latvia.
