When you see a sign "Eat with spoon" on products (mostly edible), you know that this product is produced in Latvia. It is part of a marketing campaign to promote Latvian products. No surprise it is on the top of the building where ministry of Agriculture is seated. The drawback is that it costs a lot to acquire it. It would be much more beneficial if local products would be able to participate just by covering the institutional costs of certifying the product and the annual renewal by checking if everything is up to the standard.Many Latvian as well as international participants are exhibiting in Riga Food 2008 which is taking place in Kipsala exhibition hall.
