Jurmala
Very often politicians come up with the idea of officially merging Jurmala to Riga. Jurmala is a natural extension of Riga and is a long and narrow city at the Western edge of Riga Gulf.
The situation of Jurmala is similar to the one in Valparaíso-Viña del Mar (the latter one being famous for being a summer resort and a song festival). Viña del Mar is also a natural extension which was only founded in late 19th century, and grew as a resort town in 1932 with the foundation of a casino.
I'd love to live near the sea, but I guess I can't live without my mountains.

Jurmala is a beautiful place, and the kids certainly seem to be enjoying it!
