Wooden architecture


This is Birznieka-Upisa (Birznieka-Upīša) street with abandoned pearl.

By the way that house can still be renovated. Just give it a new paint job and replace its roof and it would look as good as new. I hope that its owner, the community or the city authorities would do something about this. It is not really that expensive to renovate this.

Few people nowadays appreciate wooden architecture. I guess it’s really good to renovate this wooden house and at least be sure that it has fire protection hazards. What was the roof material used here? I was kinda puzzled with that. Hehe! Anyway, I just hope you’ll post more photo of other wooden architecture. :)

@Eugene – Wouldn’t it hurt to think that the roof is also made of wood? Haha! Anyway, whatever material the roof is made of, I think the contractor still considered how the roof will complete the curb appeal of the wooden architecture. As we can see in the photo, it looks very nice being embraced by the snow. I hope that we can still have a village that has all these wooden houses. I can imagine how cute that will be! :)
