Old Riga looks empty these days and the only snow flakes are unfortunately fake...again

Hollow Christmas tree

The Christmas tree in the centre of Riga at the beginning of Brivibas street. I took it from two angles so you can see it actually is hollow. At least the "snow flakes" of light flicker to amaze us and the real tree keeps growing in the wood.

Something new

Recently few more beautiful places have been opened to the public in Old Riga. For example this cosy atrium. It was a surprise for me to find such a wonderful place. The Christmas tree will definitely cheer up visitors.

What is it, that provokes the X-mas feeling in the city? Definitely not the sales and shopping. Standing here the decorated shop looks kinda Christmas style from a distance. Let it be that way and hurry, there is someone waiting for you at home...
