Election (political post)

This banner is advertising a guy who has been involved in few corruption scandals and making so many false promises (in fairness, like most politicians).

It is election day tomorrow and I will not give my vote to anyone, so I can complain about the system. Those who vote can not complain about politicians, because they have delegated their personal power to someone else :)

Not sure if it works as you say ;)

It works for me, read Satversme - the power belongs to Demos.
If this is demo-cracy, I have to hold on to my power.

Do not think not vote is right choice... I would recomend you vote for "Last" party.

Ir jābalso, kaut vai ar tukšu aploksni.

Besides your reasoning being wrong (apart from that Slesers is involved in corruption scandals and is not one you should vote for), this attitude is also childish. If you would know more about democracy you would never come to such conclusion.

Anyway, it is false assumption that if you do not participate in elections you do not give power. I would rather say that your vote is simply divided among all parties equally - you vote for all;) If everyone would do like you, then you would be voting for the existing parliament. If you would go, but put in an empty vote, then you would be voting for the big parties and against the small parties balancing on 5%. There is no choice than to vote and then next time to vote for someone else if you are not satisfied.

But most of all - you actually are the only one that can not complain, because you gave your power away to the other voters to chose. You can only complain about other voters and not about the parties.

There are strong signs that the kind of oligarch-free "Last" party is actually made by oligarch "PLL" party to take votes away from other oligarch-free party "Vienotiba".

As long as these two lines will be in Satversme, I do not have to give my power to anyone, because I am the nation (part of nation) and power belongs to me.

1. Latvija ir neatkarīga demokrātiska republika.
2. Latvijas valsts suverēnā vara pieder Latvijas tautai.
*
Voting cheets my power off me to strange people I would not invite to dinner and would not greet on the street :D

Ir tiesi otradaki. Ja nebalso, tad nedrikst sudzeties jo esi izvelejies nepiedalities demoktraija.

To Anonymous,
