Fountain on Tērbatas street.
Here is a detail of fountain.
Lovely fountain sitting away from the public eye. Still accessible for passers by.
Rimes a bit in a poetic way.
Few days ago annual Riga festival took place. It was full of events - city with 811 year experience has lots to show. Riga mayor Nils Ushakovs (from the left) had a chance to ride in a Fountain power boat piloted by owner of DUCATI Riga. To glide like this, two high output Mercury engines consume approx. 200 litres gasoline per hour.
I think this is a part of extension of La Rocca complex. Aparently there is a fitness centre, bowling, pool and all sorts of entertainment in there.
Riga is very green city (as you can see :D) with many green oasises and a double belt of parks around the Old City.
Flowers are being removed from the park near National Opera. It is because of the approaching fall and the fact that empty flower bed looks better than a flowerbed with faded flowers.
Two more pyramids and an illuminated fountain can be observed :) in Kronvalda park. None of them are ancient and the pyramides cover the entrance to the underground parking lot.
I am always amazed to see people instead of fishing somewhere out of Riga staying at the banks of Riga Canal - must be plenty of fish there:)...well, I doubt it.
