Looking at windows through windows

So now we're here and now is fine
So far away from there and there is time, time, time
To plant new seeds and watch them grow
So there'll be flowers in the window when we go.

Balcony

Agenskalns is charming but a bit forgotten neighbourhood in Riga. It is getting some investment, but not too much - particularly now at the bottom of financial crisis. That is why I like to see people looking after their properties even in though times.

Cut off

Flowers are being removed from the park near National Opera. It is because of the approaching fall and the fact that empty flower bed looks better than a flowerbed with faded flowers.

Late blossom in Riga

Late Blossom This is amazing - autumn is firing away, many plants are getting rid of their leafs and becoming yellowish, but here is a plant not minding that at all.

Empty buildings

Empty buildings City centre is still full of empty beautiful buildings and one is just on the left as you land from Vansu Bridge and cross the tram line. The address is Aspazijas blv No. 2

Dailes Theatre

A rear bear. One of the Soviet architectural "pearls"...well, may be not exactly a pearl but different from the rest of the buildings of that time.

Making the photos

This is the interesting one - as you might have gathered from the gestures of the lady who is selling flowers - she is not happy that her photo is taken by the guy. Regardless her protest Mr Redjacket, as you can see, snapped her anyway. I am not sure whether the law in Latvia is on the side of the lady, but certainly the guy has very vague understanding of a termini "dignity"...

Pienenes - Dent de Lion

Zemitani train station from behind. And I noticed these very widespread flowers - dent-de-lion (french name). They are very nice when blooming, but then time comes when their heads turn into white airborne seeds, noone can stop them. After flying they can "park" on your greenery and surprise you next spring.

Two o'clock at night

Last year on a rainy October day I posted a picture with ladies who sell flowers on the street. Nothing has changed, they still do. Maybe it doesn't surprise you, but as a matter of fact it's two o'clock at night and you can have almost any kind of flowers. It is at the edge of Vermanes park on Terbatas street.
