Juglas canal (seen in the pic) overflows very often affecting surrounding buildings. Behind me is a very nice Šašlik Bārs (barbecue restaurant). It is called Piepe.

This is a tour boat on Daugava river by the Akmens bridge. What a sun bath!

The water transport has always been a part of Riga infrastructure, but far not good at all to my mind. The old river buses of soviet times really are metal scraps, that have become inefficient and unfriendly to nature long time ago. So couple years ago a new company KMK started its struggle against beaurocracy to bring water transport in Riga canal and Daugava up to new and much more pleasant levels. The rear end of the Misisipi trip boat. Ofcourse this is not a functional wheel, it's just for "make-believe", although it actually spins when the ship is in movement.
