Mermaid II

Cargo ships keep cruising, Riga port is open whole year, even in winter. This one is approaching the gates to the bay and leaving to Bremerhaven, Lubeck, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Helsinki or elsewhere.

Sea gate


Buoys that mark the shipping route at river Daugava's outfall in Riga bay. It is unusual to see these objects so close. This photo was taken just by curiosity. I wish I could do it from underwater. In the far background you can see people walking on the breakwater.
