There is one place in the city centre open to the public, where you can actually see the narrow strip of the Baltic Sea. In Summer time it is just about where the sun settles its way over the horizon.

Reval Latvia Sky Bar is one of the best places to start with when visiting Riga for the first time. You'll get the sense of the size of the city and the location of main land marks.

The oddly shaped top of the building is a Sky Bar of the Hotel that is named after Mr Albert Einstein and therefore little mathematics describing the gradualness of Riga - at a forefront 2 storey building followed by a 7 floorer and finally 11 floor high-rise. Albert Sky Bar

This is an interior of Albert Hotel Sky Bar. The bar is not as huge as in Reval Latvia ,though it offers alternative cityscape, open terrace and more relaxed atmosphere. What do you think of the painting?

This is Riga Railway Central Station. The architecture here isn't most loved by Rigans though there is a cozy Sky Bar and restaurant in the tower on the 10th to 12th floor. I had a dinner there yesterday and chef seems doing a good job.
