Same old place

On the left by Saules Akmens building, another modern project is under construction. Gaismas pils (Castle of light) - national library. As far as I know, they decided to let the sun set in the same old place.

...Well, at least these chimneys do not emmit any smoke, although without them the sunset view would be brighter.

Rail Bridge over Daugava river

Good news in this rather worrying financial climate are always welcome - here comes one for Riga city. With newly installed illuminated Railway Bridge Riga has won the honorable LUCI prize of second best illuminated city in the World. Riga came after Seul in award ceremony in Mexico.

Sunset over Mezaparks

Shot from the back seat of the driving car towards Mezaparks district. As you enter it from Teika or Ciekurkalns area you will be met by bunch of midrises just before enetering an exibition called "private house architectual luxury"...methaphorically speaking. Will post some houses later.
