Agenskalns

Wooden architecture is common in Pardaugava. Some of it is going through the refurbishment, some of it still waiting for it.

This photo is taken near Faculty of Physics on Edvarda Smilga street.

Riga 3D

Another day I went to the exhibition "The process of good architecture" where I found physical 3D model of Riga present, under construction (u/c) and planned buildings and structures. The blue ones are either planned, approved or u/c on left bank of river Daugava - locally called Pārdaugava.

From a distance

St. Peter's church from other side of the river Daugava. Take a closer look to see a rooster.
The arches of railway bridge seems hiding behind the trees.

Lit up

When lit up, the old railway bridge makes a perfect accent for a fabulous night scene to capture from Pardaugava towards Riga centre.

An Ortodox Church

There are about ten Orthodox Churches in Riga. By no means this is the most spectacular one, though its pretty hidden away from public eyes in Pardaugava on Meza street.
