Imanta is mostly commie block district. Like in many places now, there are some unfinished buildings there as well. When I was a child I used to play with them - we called them stroykas (from Russian word "to construct").

Velo competition

Hundreds of bikers in Jugla (far east Riga) area. It does not look urban, and the reason is - 5 storey buildings are hidden behind the row of trees. Armands participated in this marathon and writes more about it in his blog here.

Shopping streets with empty windows and signs IZNOMĀ (to let) pop up like mushrooms after rain.

Go! Go! Go!

One of the last activities before end of the motorcycle season in Latvia. Durka racing gathered all PTW (Power Two Wheelers :) ) including scooters and cruisers, streetbikes and pocket bikes. This is a moment from cruiser racing, and all of it was just for fun.

4th post: Moto parade in Riga (Stunt riders)

People who were intrerested went to Arena Riga parking lot, where they could take a closer look at all the bikes and see all the ways to ride one. This was performed by Riga Stuntfighters.

Frisbee

Another day it took ages to drive to Jurmala ("Seaside") to enjoy sun and play with Frisbee because while we were driving motorbike our friend was doing scooter at 60km/h max:)

I met this funny looking biker on the Brivibas str. He was so open-minded and didn't refuse to pose for a photo of him. Of course the special element, that attracted me was his customized helmet.
