This is one of the most safe and comfortable scooter to my mind. There are lots of C1 in Riga, in fact most of them are CITROEN cars, not BMW scooters. That model name was taken over by CITROEN couple years ago.

Moto season 2009 opening

The opening of moto season in Riga gathered thousands of bikers. This is a view from Salu bridge towards TV tower on 25th of April before the caravan went through Riga to Jurmala.

Snowdrops on two wheels

Two very impatient bikers try to enjoy the ride on two wheels on a day that is too cold for that, not to mention the road condition. Despite all, I am also one, who has opened season already.

One of the last activities before end of the motorcycle season in Latvia. Durka racing gathered all PTW (Power Two Wheelers :) ) including scooters and cruisers, streetbikes and pocket bikes. This is a moment from cruiser racing, and all of it was just for fun.

As you all know and likely experience to drive a car is getting more and more expensive and not particularly quick in the urban environment:)

As I told before in the post on 5th of May, the participating in a motorcycle caravan riding through the city is tremendous experience. I made this collage to show you how it looked from riders point of view on the 26th of April. I thank my friend who took these photos while sitting behind.

1st post: Moto parade in Riga (Burnout)

Twice a year we have the biggest motorcycle meetings in Riga, those are opening and closing of the moto season. Every kind of two and three wheelers of Latvia and few guest riders from other Baltic countries gathered in a supermarket parking place by the river Daugava to take a unified ride through the city. Traffic was closed for that moment of course. This was actually on 26th of April when around 2000 motorcycles in a row thundered in the streets of Riga. It is a tremendous feeling to be a part of it.
